To complete a voting card you must select at least one local DJ (up to three can be chosen) plus one international DJ, one event/festival, one club night and one producer/live act, plus voters must reply to the voting confirmation email sent by inthemix for their vote to be counted.
Votes are not weighted, so the order that DJs are selected in is not important, each DJ only receives one vote.
Only working DJs, producers, live acts, events, festivals or club nights held in the period between 30th June, 2008, and 28th June, 2009, are eligible.
Only one vote is allowed per person.
Voting opens on Monday 29th June, 2009, and closes Sunday August 2nd, 2009.
Results will be announced Wednesday 19th August, 2009, exclusively on www.inthemix.com.au.
The judge's decision on winners is final; no discourse will be entered into. The decision regarding the winners is made at the discretion of inthemix.com.au. inthemix reserves the right to discount votes that appear to be fraudulent or in breech of these voting rules.
Winners, in the 'local DJ', 'international DJ', ‘producer/live act’, 'club night' and 'event/festival' categories are determined by those who receive the most number of votes, no other criteria is taken into account.
In the case of a tie, both individuals/parties will be awarded the same ranking with no subsequent place awarded in that category.
Definitions
A "local DJ" is defined as one who has been based in Australia for at least 9 months of the period between 1st July, 2008, and 30th June, 2009, or is an Australian resident.
A “local producer/live act” is defined as a one who resided in Australia for at least 9 months of the period between 1st July, 2008, and 30th June, 2009 or is an Australian resident, and has released an original track or remix commercially by any delivery format or performed in a live capacity (either as a solo artist or as part of a 'band') between 1st July, 2008, and 30th June, 2009.
An "international DJ" is defined as an individual who has lived outside of Australia for at least 9 months between 1st July, 2008, and 30th June, 2009 or is not an Australian citizen.
A "club night" is defined as a recurring music night held in a nightclub at least 6 times during the period between 1st July, 2008, and 30th June, 2009.
An "event/festival" is defined as a music event held anywhere (inside or outside) between one and five times, in the period 1st July, 2008, to 30th June, 2009.
