With a well-carved niche as one of the UK’s most exciting producers, Julio Bashmore last year launched his new label Broadwalk Records with one seriously killer record, Au Seve. “Somehow I have found time between jet-setting around the globe, becoming a voice for the people via my Radio One show and generally living the high life to bring you a brand new label, Broadwalk Records,” he wrote at the time, tongue firmly in cheek. “Today heralds a new era in the Julio Bashmore chronicles, with a sound that shall echo through the ages.”

Having pricked up the ears of Dirtybird boss Claude VonStroke a few years back, Bashmore treds a compelling line between house and bass music. Since being recruited by Dirtybird, the Bristolian released gems on Futureboogie Recordings, 3024 and Soul Motive to name a few. The producer followed Au Seve by lending a hand to Jessie Ware’s Devotion album and keeping Broadwalk Records bubbling nicely.
