We Love Sounds was back again, and proved that Sounds really have the whole festival thing down pat. To put it simply, it made me feel like maybe I'm not too old for festivals just yet and proved that making the music the main focus really does work. [more]

All in all it was a night filled with highs and lows and plenty of exercise after two trips across the city. Pretty much what you can expect from any multi-venued, multi-music styled event really; no big wow factor, just a pretty decent night out. [more]

The traveling circus that is Pnau on their 'We Are Back Tour' rolled into Perth for a double date of midweek shows. Nick Littlemore and Pete Mayes have at last garnered the respect they have so long deserved with the release of their third album. [more]

Another year over, another festival to welcome the year and what an absolute scorcher of a day it was! New Years Day 2008 saw Melbourne’s Birrarung Marr, situated on the scenic banks of the Yarra River, transformed into the inaugural Hot Barbeque. [more]

On the back of the NeverEverLand tour, Daft Punk rose from the deep of public consciousness not as a ragged Lazarus, but a robotic neon coated, anthem-breathing leviathan with a really nasty temper when they visited the Riverstage. [more]

After an almost inconceivable amount of rumour, hearsay, speculation and hype, the mystical pyramid controlled by our favourite French robots has packed up its light show and may never be seen in Sydney again. And the verdict? Daft Punk delivered! [more]

Overall it was a fantastic event, and it really opened my eyes to the quality of music and live performance that Australia is now able to export. Hats off to the Sneaky kids, I'm sure this is not the last we've heard of them. Not by a long shot. [more]
