A true cult figure of electronic music, Andrew Weatherall has left no avenue unexplored. An iconic producer, his legacy as a DJ is equally illustrious. Never limited to four-four, his sets draw on everything from ska to rockabilly to post-punk.
I was captivated from beginning to end and couldn’t stop my knee twisting shoe shuffle action. To his credit Andrew Weatherall was able to create a Saturday night fever (on a school night, mind you).
In the midst of his first ever tour of Australia – proudly presented by Civil Society and inthemix – we’ve got this recording of Andrew Weatherall's set from the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney.
