Situated on Oxford Street you will find a club. And every Friday night, within this club you’ll find a party and an aoosrtment of strangeness. Think popcorn machines, a rideable bull, fairy floss and a “99 per cent genre free” music policy.
With the exception of the Beach Road Hotel, it’s been hard to find a proper club night that offers good quality live hip hop close to the city. So a couple of weeks ago I was very happy to see the Sosueme crew had billed Spit Syndicate. to headline.
That’s right, it’s time to party… Since starting its monthly smashdown at Fringe bar and moving onto its weekly residence at Q Bar, Sosueme has left a lot of messiness in its wake and you can bet this will be reflected in its birthday bash.
The crew from Sosueme will be returning this Friday night, to a comfy new home at Q Bar and they’ll also be hosting two fine indie/electro live acts in the form of Team Plastique and Theatre of Disco.
The Loft Bar at UTS has became the new home of 'Art, Bitch' and the first of two Sydney EP launches for 2006 USYD band competition winners Cloud Control.
‘Art, Bitch’ will be taking place every week, featuring DJs, live bands, cheap drinks and located in the amazing location of a licensed laneway in the middle of the city!
APEC led major roads to a dead end all over the CBB… But who could ever have guessed that was just the beginning? Think Sosueme. No, it’s not some new-fangled type of Sushi, but it did give us the perfect excuse to party over the APEC long weekend.
