As an ever increasing number of festivals seem to be appearing on stobie poles all around our fair city, Laneways provides a point of difference as a festival that is focused on the music and not the gimmick that has started to pervade the scene.

Following yesterday's record sell out of the Big Day Out in Sydney, Queensland has followed suit and snapped up all tickets for the Gold Coast leg of the tour, and in less than one day!

It certainly has been a manic week for festivals and sell-out events, but the madness aint over yet… The Sydney leg of the Big Day Out went on sale at 9am this morning and within less than an hour, all tickets had completely sold out.
