Since opening in 1959, Sidney Myer Music Bowl has hosted thousands of events from Carols by Candlelight to chart-topping bands and of course Summadayze every New Years Day. Nestled in the broader surrounds of Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, the Bowl was Melbourne’s first major purpose-built outdoor venue and can comfortably host over 2,000 people in the Bowl itself and over 10,000 people on the surrounding lawns.
