Transit Bar is located under the YHA hostel on Akuna Street in the city. It is one of Canberra’s most prized bars and live entertainment venues. Trainsit Bar offers a wide variety of quality beers, wines, and liquors from across Australia and the world. Both on turntables and in live music, Transit boasts one of the most diverse repertoires. Having won AHA’s Best Live Entertainment Venue twice, it is no joke to say that Transit plays host to the best local, national, and international talents on a weekly basis. There is a host of other weekly activities, such as 2-for-1 pizza on Monday, karaoke on Tuesday, and trivia on Wednesday. Otherwise, feel free to relax and watch sporting events, socialize, and unwind in the afternoon and evening, or come to Transit later for a wild night out!
