Known most recently as the Metro Nightclub, the Palace Theatre is located in the heart of Melbourne’s theatre district at the top end of Bourke Street. Rebuilt from the remains of the Douglas Theatre in 1911, the Palace Theatre was also formerly known as the Apollo and operated as a cinema from the 1940s through to 1970.

The Palace is now host to countless parties and gigs, combining its original charm with modern appointments and a pumping dancefloor.

The current owners previously ran the Palace Entertainment Complex in St Kilda and renamed this venue the Palace after losing their original venue in 2007
