Uber being known for its DnB parties, tonight welcomes a whole new party and a whole new crowd. You walk into Uber, 111 Liverpool Street, behind Vbar. Bright and happy lights welcomed you as you enter. You’re greeted by two friendly “door bitches” and given handcuffs on entry.

How often do you walk into a club and find the DJ’s are not just bobbing their heads but are literally jumping around in their booth. It started with funky house with bouncin’ More and Lil’ Dave behind the decks followed by funky breaks. There were people on the floor by 8:30, which was a good sign considering it only opened at eight.

Destiny and Dirk Diggler, t’was so much fun watching them play, bouncin’ around behind the bars as though they were playing for a house party. Everyone I spoke to continued to express how much fun they were having. Not being a big fan of house, Greg Fox reminded me that there is quality house music still out there. By 11pm, it was getting much harder to get from one side of the floor to the other and you’ve got watch those waving arms. Dubstep, I’d never heard play before but his track selection was way wikkid. Stanton Warriors-Restless vocal mix just did it for me, along with the rest of the tracks that he played with heavy-duty bassline that seemed to thunder throughout the room. ‘Tis now midnight, Vespa came on, all the happy faces I saw as I roamed the room were amazing. Vespa surprised us all with LK by Marky. D-tech geeing up the crowd even more than it already was. The amount of people I saw rise up to this happy sounding track was not surprising.

This is what I’ve been waiting for and no better than Cause himself to provide us with some gold class, DnB. I lurved it! Cause didn’t let up with the aural assault, building on Vesper’s vocal take on DnB. Cause dropped some bombs that shook the walls and asses alike. Rolling b-lines that still retained the funky and soulful edge, it was perfect for the dance floor. And it’s safe to say that he may have picked up some converts along the way. First there was one MC and now there’s two, The Herbalist, what other surprises does this party have to offer. Cause finished off with some Ram Trilogy (much to my enjoyment) and it was time for V to step up.

A brief respite from the MC’s while V took us back to some old school jungle. His intro track began with an old school female ballad, which gave the crowd a chance to have a breather but before you know it, you were thrown down with deep hardcore BASS. Nothin’ but drum & bass. For someone that hasn’t spun this genre in a while, it was great to see that he’s still got it, the selection and mixing always on point!

All that for a measly $5, what?

A night full of fun and friendly people and QUALITY entertainment, what more can you ask for? Definitely can’t wait for the next one. Someone tell me when?!?
