From the outside, its not much to see. Just smiling faces in a little alley off Flinders Lane. But as you move down the alley, the beat draws you in. It takes you somewhere else. Somewhere a little differant. KRANKIN @ Geddes Lane.

Krankin began at approx 11.30pm on Saturday night in the sensational venue Geddes Lane. Straight from PHD the awesome St.Luke began our night with the most amazing set I think I’ve ever heard him play in his life. He was playing some hard banging music that really pumped up the crowd. His first time at Krankin will hopefully become a residency for him. As the crowd staggered in Luke continued to bang out his tunes to his small army of fans who danced to Lukes every beat in their own ways. Luke set a high standard for what was to come throughout the night.

Next the almighty DJ Compound hit the decks at 1.30am. To impress us once again with his unbeliebeable scratching and incredible mixing and not to mention gorgeous looks. Seeing Compound up in the booth was like watching GOD at work. His incredible nature just pumped the crowd so hard. The dance floor was full by the time he had begun his set. The way he bopped away to his tunes. The way he smiled at the crowd as they shuffled away. His whole persona created an intense but intimate atmosphere. As he does each week DJ Compound produced an amazing set, surprising us with some new and some old tunes that we always appreciate.

AJAX vs KRASH took over centrestage to keep the agenda rolling and follow the incredible performances of their fellow DJ’s. I did not see a single person leave the dancefloor for more than a toilet break from the moment they stepped onto the floor until i left. These awesome Dj’s had the whole Krankin crew stunned with their performances as they usually do. Not one person can say they were dissapointed with the set these guys played. These guys, as usual, kept the crowd on their toes for their entire 2 hour set.

Unfortunately i couldnt hang around to see the other guys play. But im sure, ALSD and Hope would have rokked the place hard as they always do. It was awesome to see so many new faces at Krankin on Saturday night, hopefully they will return. No matter the size of the crowd, the guys and girls at Krankin’ always seem to bang out those tunes harder than ever every time. With an awesome atmosphere like KRANKIN why wouldnt they?

By far the best night I have ever witnessed at KRANKIN yet, the crowd was fantastic and the DJs well, left me speechless once again and I can promise you that it can only get better from here on in as we have the most amazing talent in melbourne in our humble home @ Krankin.
