Hello summer and goodbye to hardships! Congratulations to all the hard working busy bees that have made it through their exams at Uni, TAFE, school and college. And what better way to start summer then by dropping everything and saying “whatever the weather! Let’s party!” As the saying goes, there’s no place like home… nightclub that is, to celebrate this fiesta. Home nightclub was the perfect venue to host Final 05 and to unite trance, r’n’b and fusion together. Not only was there a great diversity in music but also in the dj line up as well.

As I entered home close to midnight the place was packed like sardines. The Bamboo room was pumping fat bass booty shaking r’n’b. ladies and gents were doing their thang shaking their ass down low to the groove. After 15 minutes of grooving to the rhythm and blues I decided to venture upstairs. As I got there Matrix were already working the crowd hard, it was like a little rave. Matrix was so into his scratching it made my skin tingle and the response from the crowd was a mass of hands in the air.

Through out the night I jumped from room to room enjoying every one for a little taste. In the Fusion room it was awesome, the crowd was friendly and enjoying the music. It was a great atmosphere in there, the lightings of the room reminded me of the great jungle and D’n’B room that used to be there years ago at Sublime, a great flashback experience indeed. Top floor on the Terrace Ar bee did a great job of pulling the crowds together in the room. When the “Orange Theme” by Cygnus x came on we all went off. Nervous, followed by Jumping Jack, did what they usually do rocking the place for the punters.

Meanwhile downstairs in the hardcore/ happy hard room Suae, Weaver and Tom-E pulled a fantastic set. I managed to get Suaes’s top three song on his list that night, “Pullover”- Recon, “This Life”- Euphony and “Just Accept It” remix 2005 by Hixxy & MC Storm. The Icon room remained packed throughout the night and everyone’s seems to be loving it. Hardcore is still very much alive. By 2.30am Bamboo was still packed and all the acts that played there were excellent including MC Jaz. Jaz did a fantastic job entertaining the crowd by having a booty comp, giving out prizes like an X-Box and getting the birthday girls to dance on stage.

The whole night rocked! The crowd didn’t die down until almost closing time. Again this was the perfect venue to host Final 05 so congratulations to the promtoter, DJs, MCs, and of cause the crowd, for a big celebration.
