It was back to the beloved Crown & Sceptre for the next instalment of the legendary ‘Inbound’ Drum & Bass legacy. This time the Adelaide Massive were in for a special treat with the gorgeous DJ Mystique from Perth set to control the floor once again. The room felt alive as the vibe lifted from one performance to the next. The locals spinners Jayar and the dynamic duo Strife & Static (Future Forces) headed the proceedings and delivered with style, flair and delicious basslines. Inbound resident Filter programmed and mixed an awesome set that was truly on point with his technique. The dancefloor was jammed and the speakers were a-rocking- providing a perfectly amped crowd for the ‘Best Female DJ’ award recipient at the 2004 Perth Dance Music Awards. Mystique hit the decks with ‘Jump up’ tunes a-plenty, as was the order of the day. The 28 year old showed that practise definitely pays off with her top notch technical offerings, the crowd responding visually and audibly with every bassline switch. Mystique held the massive in her palm for over an hour before it was time for the remaining two Inbounders, Fiction & Evn to close out the night in the typical style that makes Inbound the longest running Drum & Bass night in Adelaide. MC Xpress hosted the evening and kept the massive in the mix on a lyrical tip. There was no shortage of smiles or enthusiasm on any count from the players or the punters making this a fun and memorable night- one in a long string like it from Adelaide’s Inbound crew.
