It had been a long time between drinks for the boys from Neon Elektrik, but it was time again for them to get together for some ‘summa bliss’. What I had enjoyed must about their previous parties was the diversity and freshness of the music that was played. It’s always hard to express music in words, that’s best left for the actual music itself to do, however, its like progressive, house, tech, electro, funky, fun dancefloor friendly and just about everything else!

Unfortunately I arrived too late to catch Little Chris and Mike Jules, but by all reports they were on fire. I have seen both of them before a few times and I have no reason to doubt that. It was quite packed downstairs and everyone was grooving to the sounds of catch Andrew Rose playing a vs set with Drew K. Playing the type of sound that I mentioned before, it was just rocking. Couple of tracks that I spotted were, played by Andrew a remix of New Order – Blue Monday and the Axwell remix of Deep Dish’s Dreams. Those tracks got a great crowd reaction, but what I liked was that they were used as highlights and not to get people onto the dancefloor. Drew also dropped the Eric Prydz remix of Pink Floyd’s – Another Brick In The Wall.

Up next was Al Mac and Luke Porter. Keeping on the same theme, the sound turned a little deeper, but was still really funky. The versus sets really worked well, all the guys were feeding of each other and the crowd responded to it. At this point I have to mention the movie playing in the background. It was Saw 2 and anyone who has seen any of the Saw films knows what its like. I love them!

Up next was John Graham. This was the first time I had seen him DJ and I was really impressed. He picked up the pace a bit and pushed out a more driving, prog trance sound. After a long day out, I had to call it quits at this point. I hope that the wait between drinks is not as long again as I really enjoy Neon Elektrik parties. Awesome stuff!
