Spectacular performances by all the Artists that I listened to throughout the hot, damn hot! day. It was such a smorgas board of plenty & I wanted to be here, there & everywhere! Yet as I could not, I shall give the highlights of the artists I did manage to use to top up the music memory banks.

The Famous Stage set off with 12-1.30pm Bang Gang DJs. There were not too many people here at this point, as most were milling around aquaiting themselves with where the shady spots where going to be & so forth. Yet the people were smiling gently whilst getting into the swing of things. From what I was told, the geek beat/party jazz flowed accompanied by ‘Vagina Rock’. Whatever? I have no idea as I wasn’t that close.

1:30-2:30pm: The Egg (live). The Egg sounded fantastic & most people were seemingly enjoying themselves. It was mentioned that they didn’t look like they were enjoying themselves too much though? It was hot & who knows what factors lie behind the scenes? They were still great though. Outstanding.

2.30-4pm: X-Press 2. I only managed to catch the last half an hour of this set as I was over at the Future stage jumping around to the quality sounds of Bukem & Conrad (more on that later). It was so hot in the tent, big respect to the sweaty gurners for giving it there all in such style too. I loved the sound yet found myself at a point of ‘oh, I’m too hot here, I must go & find solace under a tree”. With that, I bobbed along under that tree, with all the other non-gurners!

4-5:30pm Josh Wink. As I dutifully fulfilled the request of checking out the Local Hero’s Stage I didn’t get to actually hear Josh, yet I got good feedback that the he impressed the crew with his acid sounds & deep & funky tracks, topped off with his magnificent blending (he wasn’t mixing a cake guys!). I did manage to dance around in the cooling shade of the even cooler local hero’s! Richie G vs Riki until 5:30pm. My friend -DatUDave thought it was “Wicked”, we had a right laugh dancing around like a couple of drunkards (which we were!). It was nice as you had the room to dance & then sit whilst watching everyone else having a good time.

5:30-7pm Princess Superstar. This New York lady knows how to strut her stuff in a New York minute hey? Ms Kirschner has succeeded in many ways, although the commercialism sound seems to spring into mind a little here? It’s not really my cuppa tea, yet the crowd was having a great time. The interaction of the little Princess with the party ‘glow stick’ people was amusing sight I gather?

7-8:30pm Chris lake. Head banging tunes, oh & what a cutie :) Here’s a guy who seems so lovely & has the world at his feet. The audience truly loved this electro house, fun music. Chris being a quick star! because of those skills, fast rising on the worldly dance scene, he truly has a passion for what he does. I loved the track ‘Changes’ when that came out. The man has drive & much ability, which was clearly presented to the receiving crowd. Big smiles all round.

8:30-10pm Tom Novy. Wow, lots of jumping around & other sorts of goings on- naughty naughty (too rude to mention). The crowd was buzzing with energy that was rather contagious. German Tom, the skilled music master for the past 20years certainly maintained to influence the people with his take on music. His reflection of life, the scene & the allround vibes was pleasurable to say the least. He is a true superstar in his own right as the track name of 1997 states. What a finale to a most enjoyable day.

Thanks Future Music & to all those involved for really making it about: The Music, The Audience & The Environment.

Note: Danny (aka Bukem) were you spinning the tunes or were you using CD’s? Some have said you were cheating, yet, you were waving your vinyl in the air to me at the front & I gave you the OK sign. What were you upto? Lol, No matter what you were doing the tunes were awesome as always :) especially the old skool track near the end of your set – Conrad your synchronised buddy bigged it upped large for that one. Respect to the head bangers that were jumping around in the raw heat. Loved it, Lived it.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!
