Sneaky Sound System are a party band, and as such are at their best in front of a crowd: especially if it is their home crowd of Sydney. What surprised many punters tonight was the emphasis on electro that had the group at times sounding more like a slick DJ act then a pop group. The venue was a choice location and despite the full house in attendance it still managed to have an intimate vibe going on, adding to the house party feel.
Of course Sneaky Sound System would be nothing if not for the extraordinary vocals of Connie Mitchell, who can hit almost any note with perfection and still manage to look like a million dollars. She has all the amazing qualities of a diva minus the ego and it was certainly her show tonight.
This group certainly hasn’t been the first to rock the Manning Bar, but they have most definitely been one of the best. Sydney is truly blessed to have such an awesome group of talent whom we can call our very own.
