3rd Class + DJ T = Win.

DJ T has been a frequent visitor to these shores recently and lucky for us to, because every time he comes, you only here good things about him. This is rare as only too often you here of people going to see their favourite DJs only to be disappointed. That’s never the case with DJ T. Combine that with a venue like 3rd Class and it all points to a great night out and great experience.

I arrived at 3rd Class just after midnight and found the club comfortably full. Emily Clark was nearing the end of her set and just tearing it up. I loved what she played. A combination of deep house yet at the same time uplifting. It had a great groove to it and 90% of people there were getting their groove on to it.

Just when I thought she couldn’t get any better, she seamlessly picked up the pace and got deeper, and progressed into a more melodic sound. I wish I knew some of the track she played because there were some blinders in there.

At about 2am 3rd Class got busier and at the same time DJ T started. Keeping the pace going he played a lot similar to how he produces. Progressive but techy, very fresh and fun. It was clicky and quirky but had a real good bassline, much similar to pace and vibe of John Digweed’s last visit… Actually I was explaining to someone earlier in the night what he plays and I said that Sasha is playing a lot of DJ T tracks.

Unfortunately I had run my course and didn’t stay the length of his set. None the less DJ T gets another good report from a punter. Let’s hope he graces our shores again soon.
