Commemorating 16 successful parties after 2 long years of showcasing Melbourne’s finest local talent and some of the most upfront Electro, House and Techno, Tickled Pink have opened their doors once again inviting everyone to join in the celebrations, with more then just musical treats in store.

Along side residents Danni B, Elektra and Sass, were locals Max Koenig and Ben Cromack, with Nikko & Lister performing ‘The Fresh Set.’ Unfortunately due to ill health, Sass was unable to play her closing set, which meant for extended DJ sets and a surprising twist for the morning set.

Getting the birthday celebrations to a start, Nikko & Lister played some nice deep Techno infused Electro, set a nice groove down for what was to come. The moment the boys finished their set Max Koenig took the sound in more vocal electro direction, which began getting people from the bar and onto the dance floor.

Taking over after Max was Danni B, who showed what Tickled Pink is all about, playing a solid set she tried her best to keep the somewhat dwindling crowd on the dance floor, to no avail. With the crowd numbers reduced for no seemingly obvious reason, it was time for Ben Cromack to deliver one of his trademark performances.

Blending Techno and Electro together in an amazing way, Ben played a great set which by the end of, had a fairly large crowd in the bar area, ready for Elektra. Mixing out of Cromack’s bizzare old school Techno track, Elektra instantly had an impact with more people coming onto the dance floor in due time. Heading towards what would have been Sass’s set, Danni B and Elektra interestingly played together in a special vs set to the crowds delight.

With more then a few successful parties in the past, Tickled Pink’s 2nd Birthday displayed what’s so special about this monthly night and what’s yet to come in the future. Overall the night was not without its drama’s and strange crowd fluctuations, but was none the less a fun, as always, party to attend.
