Sunday Night and its time for Dirty Laundry to funk it up at The Bedroom. Only the strong were expected to make an appearance as they were running on fumes from Saturday night, but on my arrival at The Bedroom, Sunday night looked more packed at 11:00pm than Saturday night at 2:00am!

Playing when I arrived was the a remix of the 80s track Don’t Go by Yazoo that was followed by a remix of I Like It Like That by Se-sa feat. Sharon Philips. Thing is with this version it slowed down into a hip hop speed beat in the middle, then built back up to full speed by the end. It reminded me of some old classics that do the same; French Kiss by Lil Louis and Higher State of Consciousness by Josh Wink.

Everyone was itchy for their fix of Dirty Laundry and the punters were on site with their black and white patent Dirty Laundry T-shirts. The group began to take their place on stage and the anticipation built as The Bedroom was packed to the rafters once again. Dirty Laundry blasted their set off with I Like You Better When You Hate Me, and the rest was gold.

I chatted to a few people Sunday night that came down from Brisbane to see Dirty Laundry play, so they are drawing crowds who are happy to do a two hour return trip just to listen to there live set. They’ve got my vote as a big mover and shaker in 2008 so if you get the chance get Dirty ASAP.
