*Mr Timothy vs. Andy J. Sounds like a Friday night fight to me, but it was instead the the headliner that was launching off the weekend at The Bedroom. With Mr Timothy and Andy J getting ready to face off, I did my best impersonation of Frenzy from the Transformers flick and slipped unnoticed into The Bedroom, due to an influx in the volume of punters with an urge to see the boys going head to head with each other.
The beginning of their set was more sending out feelers to find what returned the best response and on receiving that, the course of the night was plotted out. Decadent tracks with a vibrance and complexity got everyone moving. The bar girls and waitresses led the way, as once the air was contaminated with a beat and they started to work, they can’t help but shake it with a smile.
Like iron particles drawn to a magnet, punters were gravitating onto the dancefloor and beginning to condense the main room of The Bedroom. With chaotic strobe patterns flashing, there seemed to be lost moments in time as Mr Timothy and Andy J worked their voodoo over the gathered crowd. The bass emanating was vibrating every atom in my existence like some sonic massage. The energy in The Bedroom was spiking at 2:45am with the pre-lockout rush ensuring that the usual suspects made an appearance.
With much disappointment I was forced to exit at 3am, left wondering what else would be conduced up just after I took my regretful leave. But as I was about to leave, “nah” I thought to myself as the next track begans. One of their closing track to their set was Let Me Be Your Fantasy by Baby D, which is an old all-time classic for me that brings a rush of memories back. With my eyes closed for the slightest moment, I had deja vu and I was back in The Tunnel… Then opening my eyes with a cheeky contemplative grin I realized that I was, though it’s now of course called The Bedroom. With an approving smile on my face as I finally left to go home, Mr Timothy and Andy J got a “Thats Gold” from me for their quality set.
