Raw Volume 2 Launch @ The Bedroom, Surfers Paradise (11/07/08)
Chris Fraser knocked the socks of everyone on Friday July 11th, with a display that’s hard to put into words, truly showing what can be done with DJ equipment. The ‘Raw Volume 2’ CD launch party was unleashed at The Bedroom and it turned out to be a one of those parties you wish would never end!
Chris Fraser hit the console just on 1am, and it seemed instantly he was in a world all of his own. The perimeter of the console was soon swarming with punters, drawn in to see were the auditory bliss was emanating from. Even the resident DJs, although silent, were watching Chris totally kick ass with a bag of tricks some of us had never seen before.
It had me thinking that the powers that be should get out the rubber ‘resident’ stamp and plant it on Chris’s forehead firmly. It was deep, dark and thumping, and the output from the speakers had the floor jam packed for his full two hour set. He really gave me a wake-up call on what can be done if you make use of DJing equipment to its full potential.
It was a real performance put on by Chris, and real value for money entertainment for the punters. On the conclusion of his set, after the applause, those around the console were left shaking their heads with a mile wide smile on their faces. No doubt voices were speaking in their heads; “I don’t know WTF that was or how he did it, but I like it!” Thank you Mr Fraser, you stunned us all!
