Grandmaster DJ Baby Gee and Shamus launched the Wild Weekends CD with a massive party at The Bedroom. The hardest thing was to keep Baby Gee in the console as he just wanted to be unleashed and party on the dance floor. His enthusiasm filtered through to anyone in contact with him on the night. Starting out with some funky house tracks to get this party started right, bodies gyrating in reponse to what was being served.
Dropping the master volume level for a second, it was amazing to note how many punters actually singalong to the tracks, something you’d never notice over the sound system. Some serious dances hit The Bedroom on Friday night and were coming in and out of my the clouds of smoke on the dance floor. Baby Gee ratcheted up the intensity of the tracks to a peak that left only the strong on the floor.
Hailing from Sydney, Shamus continued to please the crowd with mix mood raising selections that had that good vibe through the whole room. Shamus has a big following down south and has rapidly accelerated through the DJ ranks in NSW. Bringing a different flavour form the local scene, teaming his up with Baby Gee was pure genius. The Wild Weekends CD was launched in stores earlier this month, so go check it at your local CD shop.
Also a heads up and a ‘Yeah Yeah’ for South East Queensland punters as Bodyrox featuring Luciana are on the horizon, and so is Godskitchen for its only Queensland appearances at The Bedroom.
