“Lemme tell you, you know I, I need…” to go The Met more and see Andee Priddle play! He warmed up for Fragma on Tuesday night to help ensure clubbers wouldn’t waste their Ekka holiday. Although playing predominantly commercial house, Priddle mixes unpredictably and from all ends of the spectrum. Laidback Luke’s Break the House Down was an obvious floor filler, yet when somehow mixed with Daft Punk’s Da Funk it technically and creatively reflects Priddle’s fast climb of the Met DJ ladder. However, to succeed in modern times as more than just a ‘CD pusher’ you need to produce – so I eagerly anticipate hearing some of his own productions. Such is the success of his fellow long term Met resident Nick Galea- who was rewarding the usuals downstairs in Coco.

Naturally the piping hot Met dancers gave the abundance of men an excuse to stop dancing and gaze, although when Demae from Fragma entered the stage it gave many in the crowd whiplash. Dressed in red tartan thigh-high stockings, her white top became translucent under the spectacular lighting and visuals of the stage. You Are Alive was her first tune and it certainly echoed the feelings of many after seeing her. The enthusiastic crowd meant that, predictably, the second song had to have been Toca’s Miracle – the song that everyone had bought tickets to hear. The set then turned briefly to Fragma’s respectable trance offerings which seemed to fill the floor more. Track five of the set, Every Time You Need Me, stimulated another sing along before the final track was performed. Another, full-bodied version of Toca’s Miracle! Impressively, everyone reacted as if they had not heard it only 30 minutes prior.

The short review mirrors the short set… But having had a long absence from the Met since it first opened, it was great to be back watching a vibrant and pumping dancefloor in quality surroundings.

I wasn't really impressed by Fragma I have to say - even at Freedom..we don't really need to hear Toca's miracle 5 times in the one night...yes what a sucess the tune was but I think it was overkill
