It’s been many moons since I last rolled into Bar Open to get Frisky. This night was about two things, though, beats and beveridge! Having been recently voted the #1 WA club night at the 2008 Sony inthemix50, the staff, DJs and crew at Frisk, who tend to shatter expectations (in a good way!) week after week, once again showed out in force to make Saturday night more frisky, rockin’ and riotous. We’re ready to celebrate!

For the inthemix50 event Frisk once again served up cutting edge house music at one of Perth’s most revered nights out. The people are ready to dance till dawn, and the crowd followed wherever the DJ took them. The night saw Flex, Mind Electric, Rob Sharp, Carlos and Fritz all amping it up on the decks.

As I climbed the stairs the beats of Fritz could be heard, and the music was just the right tempo to warm the troops up for the night ahead. The dancefloor was empty, but it didn’t take long for the space to fill, with the numbers doubling before you knew it. The crowd embraced the music, and the night only got bigger as more and more people rolled in.

Carlos finished up with his signature beats, and it was about that time I decided to make the weary trek home. All in all the night was a success, and there were surely a lot of sore heads and feet the next morning thanks to some serious ear candy from all the boys. Well done to Frisk on their #1 ranking, and until next time… stay frisky! I’ll see you at the disco.
