Thursday night brought with it a celebration of the weekend just been with a few relaxing drinks with friends. After a full-on weekend on the dance floor in Licola, some good tunes and good vibes were exactly on the cards. With such musical talent scheduled for the night including the Swedish progressive sensation that is Vibrasphere and Paul Taylor from the UK, the punters were eager to hear the first bass drop.

Enjoying a few pre-Vibrapshere drinks and reminiscing about the festival, some decent techno was being played in the front room. Miss Libs was filling up at this stage, with many punters I talked to coming specifically for the music and many not making the festival but getting their fix of amazing music for the week.

When Vibrasphere dropped his first track of the evening in the back room the dance floor was packed and vibrating. His second track of the evening was a new mix that Rickard is currently working on and I look forward to seeing this released. Playing other such tracks as Dew Drops and_“Analogue Marinade_ the punters were enveloped in a wave of ecstasy, being subject to one and a half hours of pure musical brilliance. With constant escalation and some notable samples it was fantastic to see Vibrasphere play in such an intimate club environment.

Later that night Paul Taylor from Kundalini Records came on the decks and gave a memorable performance. Playing tracks on the full-on psytrance end he increased the intensity and energy of the party ten-fold. At this stage a massive laser was set-up and provided some insane visual sensations, with every colour and pattern imaginable. The laser, in sync with Paul’s enviable mixing and track selection brought the party to a new level.

Having seen Vibrasphere play twice this week has definitely elevated my mood! Miss Libertines never fails to provide a location for awesome music and good vibes. If you missed this event I don’t envy your regret, it was one hell of a Thursday night!
