Interstate visitor Tommy Trash promised another massive night at Academy. The lines definitely weren’t as long as usual, but once I made my way down the stairs, I realised everyone had made it on to the dancefloor.

After playing a couple of awesome remixes that got the dance floor going wild, I could definitely understand how Tommy got the title as a remix king. One of my favourites from the night was a remix of Laidback Luke’s Shine Your Light adding in a really melodic bassline that in a venue like Academy just vibrates through you, as well as the Stafford Brothers’ Speaker Freakers. He then played a couple of his crowd pleasers, with Lover Lover and Need Me To Stay making an appearance.

Once again Academy provided an excellent Saturday night’s entertainment, with amazing support from Canberra locals DJ Bricksta, Ryfy and Ashley Feraude. With big names passing through more often, and great support acts, Canberra is proving to the rest of Australia that we do know how to party!
