It’s Friday night, around that time to put on your boots and venture out into the night and see what is in store. At alloneword, as a venue slightly further away from the general flow of clubbers its location filters the crowd. Inside, it features two rooms: the inside room with couches along one wall and a bar towards the end leading to an outdoor area. At the end is another bar with a disco ball glinting high up through the darkness. The DJ booth is on the right and there is a stage right at the other end for decks or a live music setup with the layout focused on plenty of space for the dance floor.

I make my way to the bar through the revelers, admiring the artwork. alloneword is a stylish place that remains unlabeled – though the crowd still manage to fit even that bill. By the bar, the music is progressing, building momentum and more people are making their way to the outside room. The next DJ comes on and mixes a bit of deep house with a jackin feel; attracting the people who’s taste run on that side of dance.

With soulful house beats or deep house melodies attracting groups to the very front of the booth, from my position, I can easily feel the bass – it’s obviously a great sound system. It’s also quite busy tonight- some alternate from the dance floor to sitting. The crowd are all here for this Sexy House Knights launch and I can tell by the energy, everyone is having a brilliant time.
