Christian Vance has been fully matured as a musician for quite some time and he now appears to be going through the process of rolling out the message to a progressively broadening audience. His music has the ability to pull people. Like quick sand, once you step in to it the guaranteed destination is depth.

Tonight’s gig was rather special in that the room was mostly filled with CV virgins. Seeing the friendly folk sweating it out on the dance floor with looks, whoops and hugs of amazement at what they were experiencing really made this a delight for me. It reminded me of the time I lost my virginity with Christian Vance in March of 2009.

Christian has since, continued to develop and remaster his own music, as well as music from his inner circle – notably Craig McWhinney’s epic Deep in the Hurt Locker, as an example. Like the father of many children, he lovingly and mindfully propagates absolute faithfulness in cause. With strong arm and steady intention, he brings to every performance complete dedication to the ever expanding legacy of creativity. It is a concept with which I concur; give your best and take it from there. Christian brings for the totally captured ones such as myself, instantly recognisable tunes that delight and enrich beyond description. However, for Christian Vance virgins, a Christian Vance LIVE set feels somewhat like a journey through the crisp Alps of Switzerland or through outer space – rocketing ever onwards with certain direction and highly tuned precision. The pace feels comfortable, gentle, and exhilarating. His music is solid, delicate and insightful.

So folks – do yourself a favour and see him. Christian Vance is an original. His music is always delivered with the most complete care and total love.
