The sun shines through the open roof at Cloudland and hip hop beats pour onto the street in the Valley. The beer is flowing and people are dancing in the prestige venue on a breezy, Sunday afternoon. This is the setting for one of the biggest female names in Hip Hop history.

DJ Modav set’s the mood with old school hip hop, RnB and funk for the event that has attracted more middle aged women than the younger generation. They all sing along and move to the beat as Modav spins some classic tunes like Hypnotize by Notorious B.I.G, and I wanna sex you up by Color Me Bad; a song that gets an exciting reaction from the crowd.

Cloudland is known for its interior decoration and it’s the perfect setting for the hip hop and RnB that is set to come. As Modav sporadically scratches through on his blue colored vinyl, he drops some more hits such as Peaches and Cream and When Doves Cry just as Spinderella walks into the packed venue. People shout and cheer as the hip hop queen elegantly walks to the back of the elevated stage.

As the crowd starts to burst with anticipation, Modav introduces the Salt N Pepa DJ as she starts scratching into the first song. Spinderella smoothly mixes through classics like Everyday People, a track by the Wu Tung Clan and it wouldn’t be a hip hop set without some old school Snoop Dogg. Spinderella, still with sunglasses on, nods along to the beats as more people move to the dancefloor to enjoy the tunes.

Through her set, Modav MC’s and tells the crowd to move, and they do. Spinderella also has a few shout outs on the mic and talks to the crowd and people react by screams and shouts. As expected, Spinderella plays _Push It _by her 90s group, Salt N Pepa and then gets two women on stage to rap to Shoop and they do so with style and ease. The crowd and Spinderella are clearly impressed and people scream as she smiles and dances along to her tune.

As Spinderella’s impressive two hour set comes to an end, she states that she has had “a motherfucking good time” and “she’ll be back soon”. She leaves the crowd wanting more as the dance floor is now completely packed. Spinderella cut it up more than one time.
