The music for the night was simply wonderful ;-)
Dj Mandy Rollins (as always) played exceptionally well considering slight problems with the floating console being knocked around by a 100 or more fanatic fans. DJ Ben Drayton had the front room sexually charged and gyrating to the latest beats from all over the world. With shows happening nearly every hour it was easy to miss a few due to the large crowd limiting access in the second room.
The one Show that did stand out for me was Danger-boy’s ‘Bruiser Boys’ water and fire flogging extravaganza. The act was dressed in white chemical warfare outfits until each performer ripped them off to reveal satin shinny footy shorts and bare flesh. Ahead was a series of fire sequences then they sprayed the crowd with water which was exploded on each others bodies.
The other shows included bondage by Garth and his beautiful assistants. Sarah did her drag king thing again. Over all the entertainment was subdued as the venue was still enforcing a strict policy towards any gays caught in intimate relations, despite turning a blind eye to heterosexuals (in public view) getting friendly.

As a venue you either love it or loathe it?
After hearing several stories from fellow DV8 pilgrims that in-house security was heavy with patrons whom seemed to be sexual with each other. YES! It’s against the law, but when no body gives a shit something has to give.
If this party is to be successful come Mk3 many pilgrims want a change in venue.
I can’t see this venue working for DV8 again if a few public displays of fetish intimately are taboo. The party this time did attract some old ‘tribal’ leather men that needed of good hiding. Seems the good news has spread about DV8 and attracted those Borg collective queers.
Look out Victoria something Kinky, Queer & Underground invades Melbourne on the 26th of April . The DV8 theme party expands to Victoria, with an expected larger capacity venue and a sexy playful up 4 it leather fetish crowd.
James Rene tells me the Colonial Hotel venue has two club rooms and chill out room with gothic features and a few dark candle lite corners. James tells ITM “

James Rene from Club DV8also tells ITM ” I have some big plans on the way for Sydney DV8 I’m keen to start a joint venture with Hell Fire”.
Rumour has it they are looking at a few warehouse spaces in St Peters to start Sydneys first Fetish private club with DJ’s plus extended trading hours. I hope it comes through for them. You can Cunt me in with chains on.
