STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
He’s one of Australia’s most revered DJs, having taken out any and every DJ poll and award worth its salt over the past few years. And, although widely regarded as a breakbeat DJ, 2006 saw his direction change, with the Kid now more than likely to drop slamming electro or jacking tech into his sets.
Having just released his latest mix CD for Ministry of Sound, the ‘Clubber’s Guide to 2007’, which was put together alongside longtime friend Goodwill, we thought we’d catch up for a chat. Listen in as Kenobi gives us a rundown on how NYE/NYD panned out, why he’s moved on from the breakbeat tag, and what he’s hoping to achieve with his radio show on Triple J.
Kid Kenobi is now on tour to support the release of ‘Clubber’s Guide to 2007’, out now through Ministry of Sound/EMI. Catch him and Goodwill at one of the following launch dates:

This is really disappointing!!! Kid Kenobi should stick to what he does best and what we appreciate him for. He's best as a BREAKS DJ, stay that way. We've got enough House DJs we don't need another one!!! From a real fan, this really sad to hear.

I am so upset to hear this new! I saw him play at chinese laundry about a month ago and his set was full tech like! I love kid kenobi, his the reason I started DJIng and he is probably the best breaks DJ in the world. He should stick to what he does best!!

Where has this man been? Ive bought heaps of electro and mash up cds but nothing compares 2 Kenobi. And to all the uneducated fools.......... this aint house, this is pounding electro funk at its best. Bring it on! This is enough to bring me out of self imposed clubbing retirement.
