STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
Lee Coombs has been a regular visitor to Australian shores for 5 years now, and this month he’s set to return for a 6-date national tour, all in aid of launching his brand new mix CD ‘Land of The Monkey Snake’.
Aligned with the Finger Lickin’ crew of artists for quite some time, of late Lee has stepped out on his own to focus on the Thrust Recordings label. What exactly is a ‘Monkey Snake’ though? We couldn’t resist that chance to talk with Coombs to find out…
Listen in as Angus Paterson talks with Lee about the growth of tech funk, what it was like to be lauded by Oakenfold, and how the legendary Burning Man Festival in the USA provided him with the inspiration for the ‘Monkey Snake’ mix.
Lee Coombs tours Australia in February:
Sat 10th Feb – Wollongong, Castro’s
Sun 11th Feb – Hobart, Halo
Fri 16th Feb – Melbourne, Fractured
Sat 17th Feb – Brisbane, Empire Hotel
Fri 23rd Feb – Sydney, Break Inn

His brand new mix ‘Land Of The Monkey Snake’ is out now through Central Station/MRA.
