Hand-picked by Future Entertainment to be one of the main residents at their latest club venture Famous, Derek {K} is well on his way to fulfilling the prophecy of the club’s name, with his star well and truly on the ascent. Rocking upwards of 2,000 clubbers each and every week at Famous, since the party launched in September last year Derek has watched his profile climb alongside the club’s.
With plans now in place to take Famous interstate, the club set to launch at Home in Sydney very soon, we caught up with Derek to talk about how he’s found the ride so far. He tells Angus Paterson what it was like hearing Felix Da Housecat play his track at Space in Ibiza, how it felt being invited to reside at Future’s super-club venture, and how he approached his brand new mix CD for the Future Music Festival.
