Although dance music has always had somewhat of a rocky existence in the USA, there’s several names who’ve worked hard to see it produce both quality and quantity in the electronic scene. One particular act have achieved the status of legendary around the world are Washington DC duo Deep Dish. Over their expansive career they’ve released countless singles and remixes, as well as several critically acclaimed mix CDs and albums.
Because of this universal appeal, the 2006 announcement that Ali and Sharam had decided to pursue solo projects for the time being had fans of their work more than a little worried. With his first ever standalone CD for Global Underground released late last year, and his forthcoming single ‘Party All The Time’ about to hit stores, Sharam explains to Tim Hardaker, ITM’s National Editor, why this isn’t the end of Deep Dish.
