STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
A long-serving member of the global breakbeat community, General Midi has weathered the genre’s recent storm of DJs and producers jumping bandwagon, and will soon be unleashing his brand new mix for the seminal Y4K series. Currently in Australia on a promo tour to support its release, and fresh from a jaunt around America with the Autobots, when ITM’s Angus Paterson spoke with General Midi (aka Paul Crossman) he was chatty and amiable, and more than happy to weigh in on the debate of whether breakbeat has had its day, or if it’s got life in it yet. No surprises for guessing which side of the fence he finds himself!
