For the coming December 1 edition of The Brisbane Advent*jah Festival everything happens at once it’s a full moon so everyone will be hyper-hyper, it’s on World Aids Day so prepare to wear the ribbon and to top it all off the festival takes on an overlayed theme of “Rave 4 Research”. Nnow what the hell is that I hear you ask?

RAVE 4 RESEARCH (R4R)

R4R is the groundbreaking experimental miracle bio-engineered by a team of young scientists hailing from the University of Queensland. An alchemical-fusion reactor of Frankensteinian proportions, R4R induces the high-speed collision of techno and science to chain-react into a blueprint for a better tomorrow. A tomorrow world where raw rave power injects vital funds to support scientific research, discovery and invention @ our Universities. Inventions like Thomas Alva Edison’s gramophone, which served as a catalyst for the development of our much-loved modern equivalents of decks, mixers and the glorious vinyl record itself!

In a nutshell, the “Rave 4 Research” crew with the assistance of the Advent*jah Team intends to use dance music festivals & dance parties to raise awareness towards the need to fund science student projects and research if we are to maintain our position at the forefront of scientific discovery and as a ‘clever country’. Something that seems to be overlooked more and more by our esteemed leaders.

This could encompass anything from important Aids*, Cancer and mental illness research to gene-related science and beyond. (*Synchronicity city with Advent*jah falling on World Aids Day)

Advent*jah will also be used as a platform to launch the concept and brand name of ‘R4R’ paving the way for future stand alone R4R events to happen not only in Brisbane but in conjunction with Universities and in cities & towns across Australia and potentially the world.

Powered by the P.L.U.R. paradigms of PEACE, LOVE, UNITY & RESPECT, the unlikely hybridisation of techno & science is set to transmute the “Rave 4 Research” pavilion into an electrically charged Mad Scientist’s laboratory guaranteed to blast ravers into a hyperspace techno-utopia of infinite possibilities….

The ‘Rave 4 Research pavilion’ is just one of nine warehoused sized pavilions at Advent*jah showcasing a diversity of local & international talent, appearing in that area will be:
