It’s quite possible that Barbara Tucker has featured on more seminal house tracks than you’ve had hot dinners. She’s undoubtedly the vocalist of choice for that ‘classic house’ sound, and in May she’s swinging down under for one very special performance.
More than just simply a guest vocalist, Tucker was also the co-founder of New York City’s longest running club night The Underground Network, and she is credited as one of the driving forces in NYC’s house movement.
Her career as a touring artist and vocalist has seen her work with Moby, the Pet Shop Boys, Deee-lite, Wyclef Jean, George Clinton and Reel to Reel, and she’s even an adept dancer, having choreographed or busted moves for C&C Music Factory, BWP, Soul System and more.
