Stacey Pullen is a famed member of the elite Detroit techno brethren, heading the second wave of artists who followed the path trail blazed by forefathers Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. Since the early 90s he’s released a steady stream of tracks on many of the techno scene’s most seminal labels, and he’s established a name for himself worldwide as a revered DJ.
Notorious for his lengthy club sets that traverse the field of tech and electronic music styles, he’s about to return to Australia for a series of 5 hour plus club performances this month. Fresh off the plane from a mini-tour of Mexico, where he was spreading the ‘Gospel Of Pullen’, ITM’s Tim Hardaker tracked him down for a chat.
