Although his name conjures up the image of a crunkified rapper from America’s Deep South, the reality of the situation couldn’t be further from the truth. Two years after the release of his debut solo album ‘Roads To Roma’, the resident seedy uncle of the Elefant Traks label is back with another LP of carefully crafted, sample heavy ‘gypsy-hop’.
With a love for gypsy music that stems back to time spent living in the Czech Republic, and as producer for 18-legged hip-hop juggernauts The Herd, with his solo material Unkle Ho has been able to explore a decidedly more adventurous path. ITM’s Mo’Funk recently spoke with Ho about his new album, ‘Circus Maximus’.
