Last here over summer with the full live band in tow, in an effort to maintain their reputation for frequent and frenzied visits down under, UK breakbeat pranksters the Freestylers will return at the start of June for a grueling run of DJ dates around the country. You’d almost feel sorry for them – cramming 11 shows into 16 days (if you count the quick 4 day jaunt off to New Zealand mid tour) – except they seem to enjoy themselves so goddamn much. With their most recent album, ‘Adventures In Freestyle’, riding high on a wave of success, thanks to club smashing singles like ‘In Love With You’, ‘Painkiller’ and ‘Electrified’, ITM’s Angus Paterson spoke with Matt Cantor recently.
The Freestylers arrive in Australia this Friday, and wreak havoc in capital cities and major regional centers around the country until mid-June:
