Canadian producer and DJ extraordinaire Tiga has, arguably, built a career on his somewhat stellar skills as a taste-maker. He plays and produces records that blow up to become club hits months (sometimes even a year) before the rest of the pack catch on, and he regularly sees his tracks and remixes charted by cream of the crop DJs in the electro, tech and house scene worldwide.

Having last toured Australia in 2005, Tiga put together the – now seminal – ‘inthemix.05’ CD, sashaying around the country with Ajax in support, leaving clubbers exhausted from a frenzy of dancefloor mayhem in his wake. So, it’s a little while between drinks for Tiga’s local fans, but he’s excited to be returning to Australia in June, as he explained recently to ITM’s Tim Hardaker.
