Treated as something of a god in the South American dance scene, Argentina’s Hernan Cattaneo has grown to become one of the globe’s most revered electronic music identities over the years (currently sitting pretty at #6 on the DJ Mag poll), with a reputation known far and wide for his impeccably constructed and precisely mixed DJ sets.
Hernan’s style traverses the spectrum of house music, throwing everything from tech, minimal and electro into the mix, but always maintaining a ‘progressive’ approach and frame of mind. He’s put together several critically acclaimed CDs for Renaissance, including the recently released second volume in his very own ‘Sequential’ series for the label, and this month he returns for a quick jaunt through Melbourne and Sydney. ITM spoke with Hernan ahead of his return to Australian shores.
