STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
It’s hard to believe that it is now 8 years since Sweetchilli first started out, but in that time it has maintained its reputation as one of Sydney’s finest purveyors of underground electronic music. Be it progressive, house, tech house, techno or electro, Sweetchilli events have always been a firm favourite of the ITM audience, from the very beginning right through to today.
As Dan and Crispin of the Sweetchilli crew say themselves; their parties have always stood for ‘quality music and friendly faces’, and we couldn’t agree more. They’ve invited back famed Australian progressive house export Anthony Pappa for Sweetchilli this month, and he’s proved a fitting choice to headline their 8th birthday as it will be his fourth appearance at the club.
ITM’s Angus Paterson caught up with the Sweetchilli boys recently to find out how they’ve maintained their position in the rapidly evolving Sydney scene.
Here at inthemix we’d like to wish the Sweetchilli crew a happy 8th birthday! Don’t forget to get along to the party this Friday July 20th at The Cross, where Anthony Pappa will play alongside Crispin and Daniel Crocetti, and longtime residents Robbie Lowe and Carlos Zarate.
Junior says...
Happy Birthday Sweetchilli! I remember meeting you all back in 2001 to sell you some of the first advertising space bought on ITM and your passion has never faded. Thanks for supporting us and the scene...
Tyler Durden says...
Awesome TO THE MAX! Well done lad's. ;)
