Catching up with Amber Savage at Sounds On Sunday @ The Greenwood saw her at a time when she was out to socialise and have fun before playing a new Sunday night at NV nightclub later on.

Having played at 7th Heaven the night before she described it as “Fantastic. Different vibe to the normal crowd. A few older people. From about midnight onwards, the vibe was really there, everyone said it was one of the best nights they’d ever had at Gas. Yeah it turned out well.”

Amber’s current Residencies are: Fryd’s Thursday Delights @ Icebox
Sat & Sun at Daydreams @ The Pavillion Hotel
Sat nights at Progress@ Gas
And various guestspots, recently playing at” Snatch” at SoS in The Chapel, Late.
She likes playing new nights and enjoys the change.

“Because I’ve got my full residencies and a lot of the same people come back every week, we’ve got a loyal following. I’m really in a place where I know what people want and it’s nice to show them new music and throw in good oldies. It’s like a family.”

Amber’s currently making creations in a home studio.
“Ultimately I want to express what I feel is my musical perspective & understanding. Maybe a little bit confronting, cutting edge, memorable. I want to make stuff that I can really be proud of, express a part of me and the way I see the Dance Scene and the world. I take samples from here & there, put them into editing programs & have a lot of fun with it. It’s a bit of trial & error. I work with a computer, Supernova, 303 & a few other things. Paul Holden & I have a bit of a common belief so I’m working on some things with him & also Yoshi, who has a home studio as well.”

XXX on the DownUnderGround series through Slamm was Amber Savage & Vixen on their first CD release & kicks fast & hard over 2 CD’s. Her next CD is almost ready. Track listings are confirmed & licensed so we can expect to see Amber Savage on the shelves of good record stores early next year.
