STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
Dutch DJ and producer Sander Kleinenberg is one of the seminal names in ‘progressive house’ (whether he likes that term or not), rising to prominence in the late 90s with his timeless anthem My Lexicon, which completely encapsulated the sound pushed by Sasha, John Digweed and Nick Warren at the time.
When the backlash against progressive hit in 2001, Sander continued to win fans with his quirky, driving and sexy take on the genre. He put a few noses out of joint when he flirted for a while with the electro house sound – heard in his crossover hit singles The Fruit and This Is Miami – but now he’s back with a new CD for Renaissance called This Is… Sander Kleinenberg, where he puts the focus squarely back on the underground house sound.
Sander’s brand new double mix This Is… Sander Kleinenberg is available now through Renaissance/Stomp.
