STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW
Fresh from a stint at the weird and wacky Burning Man festival in the deserts of Black Rock Nevada, America, Freq Nasty is rubbing his hands with glee as he prepares for his return to Australia for the Parklife tour later this month. A DJ and producer of the highest regard, Freq made his name in the breakbeat scene but has always remained one of the genre’s most adventurous characters, consistently blurring the lines between electro, ragga, drum & bass, techno, dub, and whatever else he deems appropriate to throw into the mix. Here he talks with ITM’s Angus Paterson about the recent explosion in popularity of French electro, and why he’s never found himself bothered by genres in his approach to music.
Freq Nasty tours Australia for the Parklife festival later this month:
Sat 22nd Sep – Melbourne
Sun 23rd Sep – Adelaide
Sat 29th Sep – Brisbane
Sun 30th Sep – Sydney
Mon 1st Oct – Perth

Suspekt says...
Freq Nasty sooo epic a few years back... not sure what happened there. Heard him play last time and it was horrible!
