The Parklife festival from dance music promoters Fuzzy has certainly gone from strength to strength. Now in its ninth year, what began as an intimate Sydney-only event with less than a thousand punters has since grown into a massive national tour that caters to more than 30,000 punters in some locations!
Focusing on a diverse range of acts across a whole heap of different genres with a big slice of live acts on the bill, some of the big headliners at this year’s festival includes Adam Freeland, M.I.A., Lyrics Born, Digitalism and a whole bunch of acts from the French electro Ed Banger stable like MSTRKRFT, Busy P and of course Justice.
There’s a Parklife CD in the stores and the tour kicks off in Melbourne this weekend before continuing around the country. So what exactly goes into putting on a tour of such massive proportions? ITM’s Tim Hardaker gets the goss from Fuzzy head honcho Jonathon Wall.
The Parklife CD is in the stores now through EMI, and you can catch the festival juggernaut when it rolls into your city at the following dates…
Sat 22nd Sep – Melbourne
Sun 23rd Sep – Adelaide
Sat 29th Sep – Brisbane
Sun 30th Sep – Sydney
Mon 1st Oct – Perth
