STREAMING AUDIO INTERVIEW

You’ll certainly remember them for their quirky hit from a couple of years ago Lotion (complete with its gratuitous references to ‘Silence of the Lambs’). Hailing from Chicago, the Greenskeepers are renowned house DJ James Curd, his lifelong musical compatriot Nick Maurer who along with Mark Share and Coban Rudish, all recorded together in the studio for the very first time on their new album Polo Club.

They’re known as a Chicago house crew that traded decks for guitars and reinvented themselves as a wacky, accessible pop group. They’re favourites to Australian audiences and they’ll be back for the Parklife national tour. ITM’s Angus Paterson has a chat to James Curd on what we can expect.

The Greenskeepers’ new album Polo Club is in the shops now Stomp/Om, and you can catch them at the following festival dates around the country…

Sat 22nd Sep – Parklife, Melbourne
Sun 23rd Sep – Parklife, Adelaide
Sat 29th Sep – Parklife, Brisbane
Sun 30th Sep – Parklife, Sydney
Mon 1st Oct – Parklife, Perth
