Having recently returned from his third overseas jaunt for 2007, Sydney based producer, DJ and live performer Deepchild is finding he’s in hot demand of late, both in Australia and across Europe. His list of career accomplishments continues to grow, adding to his critically acclaimed album of 2006, ‘Lifetimes’ (released on Future Classic), by performing at this year’s Sonar event in Barcelona, Serbia’s massive Exit Festival, and at Berlin’s famed Watergate club. He’s remixed Booka Shade’s underground hit ‘In White Rooms’ and played alongside everyone from M.A.N.D.Y. to Jesse Rose, Richie Hawtin and Trentemoller. Here he talks with ITM about his rapidly growing profile in Europe, and whether he might one day take the plunge and make the big move international.
