He’s one of the most recognisable names in dance music anywhere in the world, not least of which for his 2004 smash hit single ‘Love Generation’. It caused mayhem at all of the biggest summer dance festivals in Australia through 04/05, and also managed to top the mainstream music charts in many countries across the globe. He’s since followed up with further successes, like ‘World Hold On’, ‘Rock This Party’ and most recently ‘Sound Of Freedom’.
The Frenchman has a long held history with house music, and although his recent singles have shown a decidedly commercial flavour in sound and style, his brand new mix CD for Defected sees him take the focus off radio-friendly dance-pop and put it back on the club scene. Selected by Playboy to mix their first album in over a decade, it features sexy, soulful disco house, with tracks from Grace Jones, Daniel Wang, ESG, Alexander Robotnick and more. ITM tracked down the man with the ‘French Touch’ to learn a little more.
